Learn to resolve conflict through mediation from the most qualified trainers in Georgia. We offer core courses as well training on specialized topics and advanced skills.
Our Domestic Relations Mediation Training Course is designed for individuals who want to mediate domestic relations cases, as well as for those who want to better represent clients in mediation. Dr. Susan S. Raines leads the 42-Hour Domestic Relations Mediation Course. In addition to the required content, this course emphasized extra role play, techniques for building a mediation practice, case screening for domestic violence, dealing with cross-cultural issues, and included intensive practice with Georgia’s new Child Support calculations.

The 42-Hour Domestic Relations Mediation Training Course includes the required Domestic Relations Mediation Practicum.
In addition to her teaching and research Dr. Raines has mediated more than 10,000 civil and domestic disputes; is a civil and domestic mediation trainer; has designed and evaluated Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) programs for state and federal agencies; regularly facilitates public meetings; leads negotiated rulemaking processes; and is an ACR Advanced Practitioner. She was the 2006 President of the Georgia chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) and is the Editor-in-Chief of Conflict Resolution Quarterly.
